Studio Hausen is a Berlin based company which wasfound by Joscha Brose (born 1981 in Berlin/West) and Jörg Höltje (1981 inBerlin/East) during their Industrial Design studies at the University of Artsin Berlin in 2006. Before they graduated in 2009 they complemented theireducation with studying abroad, Höltje at the Politecnico di Milano and Broseat the FH Johanneum University of Applied Science in Graz, Austria. Jörg Höltjealso completed successfully a period of work experience at Studio Patricia Urquiolain Milan and Joscha Brose at Tom Dixon Studio in London. Since October 2009Jörg Höltje is teaching at the University of Applied Arts in Berlin.Since their first independent Project at the UDKBerlin, they exhibited as Studio Hausen at the Salone Satellite in Milan 2007,their work has been shown in numerous international exhibitions. like IMMCologne, London Design Week, DMY International Design festival Berlin, SeoulDesign Festival in Korea and the ICFF New York.Since then they have worked for a variety of clientssuch as Ligne Roset, Camper, De la Espada, Znak and Foundry. Their main focuslies in furniture and lighting design as well as exhibition and interiorconcepts. Their work is driven by hands on prototyping,manufacturing and inspired by cultural development & innovation. Theycombine cutting-edge technologies and production methods with traditional craftand material experiments. Studio Hausens digital-analog prototyping processincludes collaborations with various partners from small workshops in Berlinand medium sized Companies to innovation leaders, like the Frauenhofer ResearchInstitute.
